Thanks to Cradoc Golf Club

Dementia Matters in Powys has received a wonderful boost thanks to the fundraising efforts of members at Cradoc Golf Club.

Led by Ladies Captain 2025/26, Dr Diane Davies, club members raised £3,200 over the course of the year for her nominated charities, divided equally between Dementia Matters in Powys and Brecon Dial-A-Ride — two charities making a real difference to people's lives across the Brecon area.

On Thursday 23rd April, volunteers and members of the Dementia Matters Brecon Meeting Centre Club made a special visit to Cradoc Golf Club after their weekly session at Kensington Baptist Church Hall to receive the cheque in person. Trustee Sue Hodgetts accepted the donation of just over £1,600 on behalf of Dementia Matters, presented by Diane Davies.

Sue said: "I am delighted to accept this generous donation from Cradoc Golf Club. Sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to the fundraising efforts throughout the year. It is much appreciated and will go directly towards supporting local people in the Brecon area who are living with dementia."

We are hugely grateful to Dr Diane Davies, to all the members of Cradoc Golf Club, and to everyone who took part in fundraising activities throughout the year. This kind of community support makes an enormous difference to the work we do.
