Creating Communities Where Dementia Matters
Dementia Matters in Powys supports people living with dementia and their carers by offering friendly, local Meeting Centre Support Groups (11-3pm):
Monday – Llandrindod Club (Howey Village Hall)
Tuesday – Newtown Club Wednesday – Welshpool Club (alternate weeks)
Thursday – Brecon Club (Kensington Baptist Church Hall)
Last Thursday of the Month - Llangasty Information Hub & Club (Llangasty Village Hall)
Our centres provide companionship, meaningful activity, a meal, and a warm, welcoming place to belong. Carers also benefit from information, mutual support, and valuable respite.
Why We’re Needed
Dementia affects families across Powys, and in rural areas it can feel isolating and overwhelming. We’re the only organisation offering regular, dementia-specific support across the county.
How You Can Help
Dementia Matters relies on grants, a small dedicated team, and volunteers to keep this lifeline going. Your support helps reduce loneliness, stress, and isolation for families affected by dementia.
Get in Touch
If you know someone who would benefit — or if you’d like to volunteer — we’d love to hear from you.
